There are little churches all over this country that exist because of some division that occurred twenty five years ago that only a handful of people can even remember. But if you were to suggest that one of these close their doors and unite with other brethren of like faith in their same community, that messenger would likely be burned at the stake or worse.

I pray that our work here in Hungary continues to grow on the foundation that has been laid by the preachers before me: Lynn Trapp, Jeff Archer, Richard Copeland, Alan Yeater and David Bunting. They graciously paid their dues for the Lord and for these precious souls that are thirsting for the Truth, after being squashed by Communism for all these years!

Fact is, everyone agrees that a man has the right to study for himself, reach his own conclusions, and teach them, But he must be prepared to face examination of his conclusions!!! If a man cannot stand to have his teaching scrutinized and rebuked, he ought not to preach.

The book of Deuteronomy, which was written somewhere around 1450 BC, records the final words of Moses to the nation of Israel, before their long-awaited…

Now make the application to the “cross.” If I re-define “word of the cross” to mean only the passion and death of Jesus on Calvary and then complain that when you preach about elders, organization of the church, morality, etc., you are not preaching the “word of the cross,” I am also playing fast and loose with the truth. The real and only fair consideration is, “How does the Bible define the ‘word of the cross,’ and what does it mean to ‘preach Christ and him crucified’?” Let the Bible define its own terms.

We will not, therefore, be judged by our Adventist friends. They, however, are condemned by the text of Colossians 2:14-16. This is especially true in view of Galatians 5:1-6. From that text, if one in Christ seeks to be justified by the law: (1) He is entangled in a yoke of bondage; (2) Christ profits him nothing; (3) He is debtor to do the whole law, obligated to keep it all; (4) Christ becomes of no effect unto him; (5) He is “fallen from grace.”

We have seen that love involves: A. Obedience to God. B. Sacrifice. C. Right attitude toward word of God. D. Service. E. Right attitude toward brethren. F. Right character. Hence, love is not merely a sentimental feeling (“ooey-gooey,” syrupy, slurping, sugary, sweet nothing), but a practical demonstration of Christianity in every phase of our lives.

The things written before were written for our learning (Rom. 15:4; 1 Cor. 10:6), but we do not live under that covenant. God spoke to the fathers through the prophets, but today He speaks through His Son (Heb. 1:1,2). The “word spoken through angels” (Acts 7:53; Gal. 3:19) is contrasted with the “great salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him” (Heb. 2:2,3).

If we are guilty of either binding or loosing where God has not done so, we will be condemned and will contribute to division. Yet it is inescapable that God expects us to read and reason from the scriptures to the correct understanding of God’s will.

Let’s talk about the church. God’s people need to be warned that we are in a fight with the devil and the devil is winning. Apathy and ignorance keep us from waging the war that needs to be fought and won. We must eradicate both from within our ranks. May God help us in our noble battle for truth.

Many think their sins are so great that God will not forgive them. They believe their sins are much too grievous and that forgiveness for them is too much to ask from the Lord. If you would, follow along with me as we look at several cases of sinners in the Word of God and see if God was willing to forgive them…

More and more those who stand for truth are considered by fellow-Christians to be narrow! It has ever been so and we ought not to expect a change. Let us remember, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee…The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me” (Heb. 13:5-6).

We have allowed Premillennialists undue advantage when they assert that God must still return the captivity of ten tribes and that assertion stands unchallenged. Such is not the case, therefore nothing remains of a material fulfillment for Jews today. Their only hope, like ours, is to come unto Christ who is reigning now on David’s throne over the spiritual house of Israel.

the only viable option to the General Theory of Evolution is the account given in the first chapter of Genesis. There are too many people – evolutionary scientists among them – who are not willing to accept this account, or to submit to its implications.

A public confession before the church may not always be the wise, prudent, or scriptural thing to do (Matt. 18:15). Each case must be individually determined. However, one may, at times, confess his sins before the church.

Let us do what we can for the cause of Christ elsewhere while it is day and while we have life! No one knows when our end will be. Only God knows this.

Indeed, the longsuffering of the Lord is a longsuffering that leads people to repentance, and a longsuffering that helps us persevere in doing good. It is a means by which He guards us and saves us, and we must not undo it, lest we die.

Hebrews 7:25 also says that the only ones Christ makes intercession for are those “that come to God by him” i.e. Christians! Seeing that this is true, only Christians have that right to the mediator, the daysman, between us and God.
