Conduct Worthy of The Gospel
One great concern that Paul shared with all of us who undertake some difficult and personally emotional objective is that the work might turn out…
The World’s Bible
The importance of the public’s perception of the Christian.
Editorial: Free Will – Confusing the Simple
First, God will hold you accountable if you live your life as an evildoer. Second, God will reward you if you choose to follow His will. The apostle Paul wrote to the church in Thessalonica, seeking to comfort the disciples during a time of persecution. He noted that they would be protected by God, and those who persecuted them would be judged. Consider his words, “It is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed” (2 Thessalonians 1:6-10). The choice is ours: To obey, or not to obey. God be praised that He has given us such a wonderful blessing.
Does God Cause Natural Disasters?
God does not cause every natural disaster, but they should serve as an opportunity to show our love for man, our praise for God and our desire for Heaven.
The Christian’s GPS Guide
Most people are familiar with the GPS which we can use to help us get to our destination. In this article, we will make comparisons between the man made GPS and our spiritual GPS which guides us to eternal life.
Projector Preaching
This article contains the author’s suggestions on preaching with an LCD projector. Those who are new to the technology could avoid some common mistakes by a careful reading of this material.
A Babbling Tower
The foolishness of man is evident in his belief that he can look back in time by using the Hubble Space Telescope to view distant heavenly bodies.
A Refutation of the A.D. 70 Doctrine – 3
Article 3 of 3 refuting the A.D. 70 Doctrine. This article deals with the major tenants of the doctrine, showing how a person could believe such an absurd theory. An addendum explains the Christians appropriate response to those who hold this error.
Corrupt Words and Filthy Speech
We must choose our words very carefully, knowing that we will have to give an answer for them in judgment. Christians should never use profanity, curse words, foul language, God’s name in vain, OMG or tell dirty jokes. Those who have a problem with using bad language must strive to overcome this sin.
A Refutation of the A.D. 70 Doctrine – 2
Article 2 of 3 refuting the A.D. 70 Doctrine. This article introduces the doctrine, and begins refuting some of the major tenants of the error.
The Influence of Eastern and “New Age” Beliefs
I fear that some brethren’s reticence to hear good, strong doctrinal lessons on topics such as the nature of God and Christ, why the Bible was written, apologetics, etc., will pay terrible dividends in the form of our children leaving the faith for these false, Eastern “notions.”
A Very Lovely Song
It is simply insufficient to announce that any church is sound because its preaching is sound; soundness is also a matter of practice. Insisting on that Old Jerusalem Gospel does little good if it is heard, but ignored.
Teetotalers
Some Christians argue for drinking short of drunkenness. Wisdom from the Holy Spirit would turn you away from drinking altogether.
A Refutation of the A.D. 70 Doctrine – 1
Part 1 of a concise refutation of the A.D. 70 Doctrine. Part 1 consists of an introduction to the study, and a concise examination of what the Bible actually teaches about the end times. It is titled: Bible Eschatology

Dead Snake Handler’s Friend Responds
Sincerity does not make one right. One may be sincere, but be wrong before God. Jesus said so. “They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service” (Jn. 16:2–Saul of Tarsus is a good example of this prophecy–Acts 8:3; 9:1; 26:9-11). “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matt. 7:22, 23). They were sincere in their service. Like you, they believed that they were doing “many wonderful works,” but, like Mr. Long, the dead snake handler, their sincerity will not save them.
Belief, Baptism & Signs Following – Still Today?
We have shown that: (1) the promise of Jesus in Mark 16:17, 18, did not extend to all believers, even in the first century; (2) the promise of Jesus includes more than tongues and healing; (3) the word was preached, and the signs confirming that word followed; (4) the word, the gospel, is to be separated or distinguished from the signs; (5) the signs have ceased, consequently no man today possesses any of them.
Editorial: A New Church in India
While I can not say that the work in India is more important than any other, it surely has a special place in my heart. These are good and faithful Christians, and the potential for the salvation of many souls is very clear. As is always the case, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (cf. Matthew 9:37).
The Distaff: The "In Crowd" VS In Christ
As parents, we should be teaching our children early on that it is possible, and certainly desirable, to be liked and respected by people, but that they should never be willing to let the world be the victor in the battle of the “in crowd” vs. in Christ. Let us remind our children daily that “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4.
Scripture Studies: The Purpose of the Church
Jesus did not die to establish an institution that entertains and amuses man. He did not shed His blood to found a body that caters to man’s physical cravings. Rather, the Savior sacrificed Himself to build His church — an organization that seeks to lead men out of the mire and muck of spiritual corruption to a life of purity and holiness. To pervert the purpose of the church is to rebel against almighty God and reveal a disregard for the eternal well being of man. For such actions, men will give an account to God, and be found wanting.
