Parenting can provide the greatest blessings or the bitterest of failures. Children are free-moral agents and can rebel despite the best efforts that are put forth by the best of parents. However, parents cannot ignore the fact that they play an important role in the raising of their children.

No one should deny that the Spirit dwells in the Christian. The Bible teaches that the Spirit dwells in us through our faith and acceptance of His word. The Spirit can be said to dwell within us as we manifest the Spirit’s influence upon our lives. The fact that we dwell in the Godhead, and that the Godhead dwells in us, shows the closeness of the fellowship that we have with the Godhead. However, I believe we are in error to take the position that the Holy Spirit literally dwells within us. The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit all dwell in us through our faith, and operate upon our lives through the word of God.

If you “grew up church of Christ”. what caused you to leave? If you “grew up church of Christ” but are not faithful now what is keeping you from serving God?

Our physical senses are important to us. Take one away and you begin to realize the importance of that sense and the others gain value. If our physical senses are important how much more important is it to exhibit Christian senses to the world so that that image of Christ and His word is portrayed in our lives daily.

The importance of the public’s perception of the Christian.

Those of us who teach classes have a double responsibility insofar as our influence is concerned. Our students are all looking to us as examples, and we must constantly be on guard to keep our behavior and manner of speaking in keeping with God’s laws. Childrens’ consciences are tender and easily influenced, and we bear the responsibility of protecting them.
