You should be ambushed by the amount and quality of the evidence that Jesus is the unique Son of God. There have been defendants carted off to the death chamber on much less convincing proof. The case for Christ is conclusive.

Are you swimming upstream against a strong current of evidence? You need to go in the same direction that the torrent of facts is flowing. That is reasonable, rational, and logical.

There is not a single explanation that fits the evidence of history nearly as well as the conclusion that Jesus was who He claimed to be: the one and only Son of God.

Daniel’s prophecies assure us that the glorious church, which was foreordained by God before the beginning of the world, is indeed the kingdom of God. No future kingdom is yet to be established.

The Messiah died on the cross so we could have the remission of our sins, as the prophecies of Daniel prove. However, God had more in store. He had planned His church from the beginning of the world (Ephesians 3:10-11), and there is a solid connection between the church and the kingdom which will be studied in the final article.

Numerous extrabiblical sources confirm the astonishing accuracy of Daniel. The significant part for us is that Daniel has important and useful prophecies for our time.

When people accept at face value what Genesis is teaching, they will have no problem accepting and making sense of the rest of the Bible. God’s people need to realize that the word of God is something very special. It is not just the words of men (Proverbs 30:5-6; Isaiah 66:5; 1 Thessalonians 2:13).

A lot of people look back at their prom fondly, thinking it was “the best time of their life.” However, for those who continue on in their Christian profession, they often look back at participation in proms with shame and regret.

The world is so full of evil and how refreshing it is to surround ourselves with men and women whose characters reflect the supreme character, Jesus Christ.

There are two truths which are confirmed by a multitude of scriptures in God’s holy word. The first truth is that God’s children have always been hated by the religious world.

In Revelation, the “battle of Armageddon” is the figurative term describing the symbolic overthrow of all the forces of evil by the might and power of God. In the context of the final chapters of Revelation, “Armageddon” represents the complete defeat of the Roman Empire and paganism behind which Rome threw its total power (19:11-21). If we say this is a physical battle between human armies, we violate the purpose of Revelation. As far as practical application is concerned, “Armageddon” is any decisive battle between good and evil or between right and wrong. Whenever Christians fight a spiritual battle and win, they have fought the “battle of Armageddon.”

All of this has lead A. N. Sherwin-White to conclude, “For Acts the confirmation of history is overwhelming.… Any attempt to reject its basic historicity must now appear absurd. Roman historians have long taken it for granted.” If anyone tries to tell you that believing in the Bible is just like believing in Alice in Wonderland, you can tell them that the Bible was written from a historical point of view, and that point of view is correct!

Archaeology is of great help in better understanding the Bible, in dealing with critical questions regarding the Bible, and in gaining an appreciation of the ancient world. This type of study is very faith-building. It assures us that the Bible is not legend and myth; it is history!

I fear that some brethren’s reticence to hear good, strong doctrinal lessons on topics such as the nature of God and Christ, why the Bible was written, apologetics, etc., will pay terrible dividends in the form of our children leaving the faith for these false, Eastern “notions.”
